This article attempts to set up a basic theoretical background for youth ministry practice from the fundamental theological point of view with certain insights from the perspective of religious education. Our theses are based on a fundamental distinction between the human and divine, and additionally placed into the context of contemporary world conditions which are not considered as anything particularly novel or unique. Both liturgical and other changes which have been introduced since the beginning of the pontificate of Benedict XVI have been attracting considerable public attention. Laymen are not the only ones who have been misinterpreting them. The aim of the study is to therefore specify the meaning of these changes, to clarify them from the context of liturgical celebration, and also to offer a brief and comprehensible synopsis of the historical development of certain components of papal garments and other pontifical insignia and symbols, including external gestures.

The proposed study presents research on Czech mariology of the 19th century. After a methodological introduction, three parts are proposed: the first one containing an annotated bibliography of Czech Marian books from the 19th century; the second one containing an annotated bibliography of Marian books translated into Czech in this century; the third one consisting of a survey of articles from the revue Časopis katolického duchovenstva from this century. The study is concluded by a synthetical review and evaluation of the afore-‑mentioned Marian literature.

The paper describes positives and negatives requests for candidates of the holy orders given by the actual norms of the Catholic Church. First it clarifies the reasons for such requests and their foundation in the Code of canon Law from 1983 and in extra-‑codified norms and basic requests for the validity and lawfulness of orders as well. Subsequently, the author deals with concrete requests and their verification in the three stages of the formation for priesthood: the initial one connected with acceptance to the major seminary, further during the formation in seminary and finally immediately before ordination.
